Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our growing Data and Analytics team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to bridge business objectives with data insights. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and help deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate findings, and collaborate on developing and implementing solutions.
- Facilitate data discovery sessions involving business and system subject matter experts.
- Utilize tools like SQL,Python to gather data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity, and managing data effectively.
- Translate business concepts and logic into requirements and technical deliverables.
- Create clear and concise documentation of business processes, data flows, and business intelligence logic to ensure consistency and facilitate understanding.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data modelers, and other analysts to support data and analytics initiatives.
- Support data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze and interpret datasets to inform strategic-decision-making and help drive business growth.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable format.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analytics, or reporting (internships or academic projects count!).
- Hands-on experience with SQL or actively pursuing SQL proficiency.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Excel.
- Familiarity with data warehousing or cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $72,000-$98,598.24. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
