Actalent is hiring an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing packaging and material handling equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing environment and gain real-world skills with comprehensive training provided. **Note: We are open to recent graduates who have obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Must have 3.5 or higher GPA and willing to be on-site in Aurora)** Responsibilities + Design conveyor systems, machine design, and packaging equipment. + Develop mechanical design solutions for material handling equipment. + Create shop drawings and fabrication drawings. + Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMS) for large systems. + Utilize Solidworks for 2D drafting and 3D design. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. + Proficiency in Solidworks is ideal. + Experience with 2D drafting and 3D design. + Ability to detail large systems. + Experience in creating shop drawings and fabrication drawings. + Strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in conveyor systems and machine design. + Knowledge of packaging and material handling equipment. + Experience with large systems engineering. + Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMS). + Education from top-ranked schools is advantageous. Work Environment The role is based in a brand new facility that is expanding rapidly. Initially, you may work out of a trailer until the new facility is completed. This position offers consistent business opportunities with a large backlog, providing mobility across various business units and potential for upward progression.
