Job Description

We are seeking an inspiring Social Content Creator to generate video content for Purple Carrot’s social media presence on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. As a core member of our talented marketing team, you are someone who lives on the For You Page and loves creating content that engages, entertains, and inspires.

The ideal candidate is highly creative and self-motivated, has excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and collaborates well with others. A deep passion for food (eating and/or making) a major plus.

Location: This role will be based in our Chicago IL office and will be hybrid onsite 3 days a week with local travel as necessary. 

On the Plate

• Create entertaining, iconic content for Purple Carrot’s social media platforms that people want to share
• Craft fun, educational content that showcases the power of plants and helps us grow the current group of 10% of Americans getting their recommended daily intake of fruits + vegetables. 
• Conceptualize, script, produce, shoot and edit short-form video content for our social channels, primarily, Instagram Reels, YouTube and TikTok for both organic and paid distribution
• Work on large-scale content campaigns ranging from organic style content with creators, to scripted content featuring our internal teams or external talent (long-term)
• Work cross-functionally to help promote different product features, launches and initiatives like podcasts and HR initiatives
• Evolve our short-form video strategy with an eye towards quantitative analysis: run lots of content experiments and iterate on the ones that work.
• Manage and socialize a Social Content Calendar regularly with appropriate cross-functional team members
  
  

Main Ingredients for the Role

• 2-3 years social media experience at a major brand or organization 
• Video production experience – you’re intimately familiar with in-app creator tools across social platforms and know your way around video editing software like Adobe Premiere
• In-tune with social trends, even before they hit; ability to respond ASAP to capitalize on those opportunities
• Solid interpersonal skills and passion for engaging directly with our social media communities
• Light GFX design experience a plus

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, and the posted range is not a guarantee of any specific offer.
